Tip Leads To Raid Of Meth Lab
A tip from a concerned citizen resulted in the raid of a meth lab overnight Thursday and the arrest of three suspects.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that agents received the tip regarding a possible meth lab at a property located on Greenwood Road.
During the raid agents report finding numerous components associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine. They report that active meth labs were discovered on the property along with the remains of labs no longer in operation.
A large number of meth-related components were seized along with various items of drug paraphernalia. During the raid agents seized firearms and cell phones along with an ATV, a tractor and three vehicles.
Resident David Morris Fly, age 47, was arrested on charges that include possession of methamphetamine, initiation of a process to manufacture meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two other individuals were located hiding in some hay in a nearby barn.
Jay Thomas Schneider, Jr., age 47, and Bobbie Jean Reyelts, age 31, both of Lawrenceburg, were arrested on charges of evading arrest, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The trio was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for booking.
Fly was incarcerated under a bond of $75,500 while bond for both Schneider and Reyelts was set at $56,500.
All three have been scheduled a preliminary appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on May 21, 2013.
